On October 1st, 2026, following the Professional Blueberry Growing Course, La Spezia will become the meeting point for the international blueberry industry by hosting a special Networking Dinner designed to bring together growers, breeders, technical experts, suppliers and business leaders from across Europe and other major blueberry-producing regions.
The event has been created with a clear purpose: to provide an informal yet highly professional environment where industry stakeholders can build new relationships, exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and explore new commercial opportunities. In today's global blueberry business, many of the strongest partnerships begin through direct conversations and personal connections, making networking an essential part of industry development.
Four months ahead of the event, several internationally recognised companies have already confirmed their participation, including Fall Creek, Mattivi Breeding, Widmann, United Exports, RK Growers, Europrogress Greenhouses, Corradi Impianti, Zetapack (Selecting Machine), Campagnola (Harvesting) and Serinova (Pots). Additional companies and professionals from across the blueberry value chain are expected to confirm their attendance in the coming weeks.
The organisers expect more than 100 participants, making the event one of Italy's leading networking opportunities dedicated exclusively to the blueberry industry. The dinner will welcome blueberry growers, farm owners, agronomists, technical consultants, breeders, nursery companies, international buyers, importers, technology providers and companies specialising in harvesting equipment, post-harvest solutions, packaging, greenhouse systems and innovative production technologies.
Over the past decade, the blueberry industry has become increasingly international and interconnected. Advances in genetics, the growing focus on sustainability, the adoption of automation and precision agriculture, improvements in harvesting and post-harvest management, and the continuous expansion of global markets are reshaping the sector. Addressing these challenges requires close cooperation among all stakeholders, making events that encourage dialogue and collaboration more valuable than ever.
The Networking Dinner has been developed around this vision: bringing together people, ideas and businesses that are helping shape the future of European and global blueberry production while creating an environment where conversations can evolve into long-term partnerships and new business initiatives.
La Spezia offers the perfect setting for such an event. Strategically located between Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna and just a short distance from the world-famous Cinque Terre, the city combines accessibility with an attractive setting where professional development, innovation and international networking naturally come together.
For anyone involved in the blueberry business, the evening of October 1st represents an outstanding opportunity to expand professional connections, discover new commercial partners and engage directly with some of the industry's leading companies and experts.
Registration for both the Professional Blueberry Growing Course and the Networking Dinner is now open.
