Blueberry and Soft Fruit Innovation: A Series of Conferences Across Italy
Agroconsulenze brings new technologies and innovations directly to growing regions, with one clear objective: improving farm profitability.
The blueberry and soft fruit sector is evolving rapidly. New technologies, cultivation systems, innovative products and solutions for farm management are creating important opportunities for growers. However, making the right choices requires an increasingly careful assessment of both agronomic performance and economic results.
For this reason, I have organised, through Agroconsulenze.com, a series of conferences dedicated to innovations in blueberry and soft fruit cultivation, with six appointments across different Italian production areas.
The idea is simple: bring the latest technologies, innovations and opportunities directly to the regions where blueberries and other soft fruits are grown, encouraging discussion and collaboration between growers, agronomists, technical experts and companies developing innovative solutions.
But there is one point I consider fundamental: we should not focus exclusively on agronomic performance.
We must also focus on profitability.
Not just agronomic performance: improving farm profitability
A technology may improve production, increase efficiency or simplify field operations. But how much value does it actually generate for the farm?
This is the question that should guide every investment decision.
In an increasingly competitive market, producing high-quality fruit is not enough. Farmers must also manage costs, labour, cultivation efficiency, fruit quality and their ability to achieve sustainable economic results.
That is why these conferences will approach innovation from a practical perspective: evaluating solutions not only for their agronomic performance, but also for their potential contribution to farm profitability.
The objective is to help growers identify the most interesting opportunities for their businesses, taking into account their production systems, labour organisation and commercial goals.
Which innovations can make a difference in blueberry and soft fruit production?
The conferences will focus on technologies and innovations that can improve crop management and farm efficiency.
Topics of interest include:
Cultivation systems and plantation management, evaluating solutions suited to different production conditions.
Irrigation, fertigation and root-zone management, improving the efficient use of water and nutrients.
Technologies for field operations, with particular attention to labour organisation and operational efficiency.
Innovations to improve fruit quality and productivity, considering crop requirements and market expectations.
New technical and technological solutions, assessed according to their expected agronomic and economic benefits.
The aim is not to present innovation as a universal solution, but to provide growers with practical information to understand which technologies may best meet the needs of their farms.
Six meetings across Italy
The conference series will take place in November, with meetings in different agricultural areas across northern, central and southern Italy.
Conference schedule
Date | Location | Time |
16 November | Saluzzo (CN) | 10:30–12:30 |
18 November | Sondrio | 10:30–12:30 |
20 November | Vigasio (VR) | 10:30–12:30 |
23 November | Palermo | 10:30–12:30 |
25 November | Latina | 14:30–17:00 |
27 November | Policoro (MT) | 10:30–12:30 |
Bringing these meetings directly to production areas means making technological opportunities more accessible to growers and encouraging discussion about the specific needs of different agricultural regions.
An opportunity for growers, agronomists and industry professionals
The meetings are designed for blueberry and soft fruit growers, agronomists, technical experts and companies interested in discovering new solutions for the sector.
They will provide an opportunity to learn about innovations, exchange experiences and evaluate how new technologies can be integrated into everyday farm management.
I believe the future of the sector depends on our ability to connect agronomic expertise, innovation and commercial vision.
Innovation creates value when it solves a real problem and contributes to improving a farm's economic results.
This is the perspective behind Agroconsulenze's conference series: helping agricultural businesses assess not only how a solution can improve cultivation, but also how it can contribute to their competitiveness and profitability.
